The hotels are gone. The land isn’t.
On 2 August 2027 the moon’s shadow crosses southern Spain, Morocco and Egypt. Hotels along that line sold out years ago. But a field with a clear horizon is worth more that morning than a room with a view of a car park — and no booking site will let you list one.
We’re trying to change that, and we’re starting by finding out who’s out there.

Totality lasts minutes, and where you stand decides whether you see it at all.
Cádiz, Spain
The path crosses southern Spain first. Easiest to reach from the UK and Europe — most people will drive.

Well served by flights, and close enough to the centre line that a garden outside town is a serious option.

Across the strait, with a longer totality than Spain and far less accommodation to go round.

The longest totality of the century — a shade over six minutes — and the reason this eclipse is famous. Also the hardest bed to find.

Nothing is bookable yet. This page is a register of interest. We’re finding out whether there are enough places and enough people to make it worth building properly.
We’ll verify places before anyone pays. An eclipse happens once and can’t be moved. If a listing fell through, a refund wouldn’t come close to covering the trip — so we’d rather list fewer places we’ve checked than more we haven’t.
Spain first. The rules on letting land differ everywhere the path crosses, and so does what insurance covers. We’ll start where we can get that right and go from there.
